NHS Dental Charges From 1st April 2024
The charge you pay depends on the treatment you need to keep your mouth, gums and teeth healthy. You will only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment.
If you are not exempt from charges, you should pay one of the following charges for each course of treatment you receive:
BAND 1 COURSE OF TREATMENT - £26.80
This covers an examination, diagnosis (e.g. X-Rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.
BAND 2 COURSE OF TREATMENT - £73.50
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal or extractions.
BAND 3 COURSE OF TREATMENT - £319.10
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
EXEMPTIONS FROM CHARGES INCLUDE:
Children under 18
If you are 18 & still in full time education
If you are pregnant or had a baby in the last 12 months
If you receive income support, income based job seekers or income related employment and support allowance
If you receive pension credit guarantee credit
If you receive universal credit
If you get a HC2 certificate
If you receive NHS tax credit exemption card.

Boutique Home Whitening Kits
Patients can whiten their teeth at home using Boutique. The process is simple and will suit all patients who want whiter, brighter teeth in as little as 2-3 weeks. The method uses custom made trays which are designed to hold the gel on each individual tooth.
Each whitening kits comes with the custom made trays and 4 X 3ML syringes. Additional top up syringes can be purchased individually through your dentist.
The 2 steps to whiter, brighter teeth
Step 1 – your dentist will take impressions for the custom made trays and find out the desired results you want to achieve. The impressions are then sent off to the lab for the custom trays to be made.
Step 2 – we will then see you back at the practice usually two weeks later to try the trays and provide you with the whitening gel. Your dentist will give you specific instructions about how much gel you should use and how long each day you should wear the trays, beginning from 30 minutes per day depending on the result you are looking to achieve.
